The Big Freeze Sneak Peek - the review by Melbourne Minor
Mini and Kel from Melbourne Minor checked out the preview event of the Big Freeze Festival for us this afternoon and enjoyed the freeze!
The Big Freeze is about to hit Melbourne! Today was a special sneak peek at the COOL fun that will be had when the festival kicks off during the July school holidays from July 2nd to July 10th.
Families will be treated to ice skating, snow play, craft, a giant inflatable snow globe, costumed meet and greets and much more. The aim of the festival is to provide us city folks with an affordable snow experience to enjoy with the family.
At today's preview we hit the ice (ok, literally, we are kind of rubbish at ice skating but that's all part of the fun!) and made some tiny Olafs in the snow play.
Anna and Elsa were delighting the kids and the speed skaters were super impressive. It was all washed down with a delicious apple cider so everyone was happy.
The Big Freeze will be held at Cranbourne Racecourse, GrantStreet, Cranbourne from Saturday, July 2nd to Sunday, July 10th between 9am – 5pm. It will cover 9 interactive winter fun zones (snow pit, imagination play, snow forest, construction play, snow globe, arts & crafts, superhero training, workshops for kids and Meet 'n' Greets with Anna & Elsa). Tickets are available now to prebook on the Big Freeze Festival website and I recommend getting in early to grab your preferred time slot for snow play.
