A kaleidoscope of colour and splendour will enliven the Dandenong Ranges this autumn with the return of the glorious Kabloom Festival of Flowers from March 23rd through April 21st.
Millions of vibrant blooms will set the stage for visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature alongside brilliant entertainment from Circus Oz and delicious food, making it the perfect day out for families, friends and even pooches.
Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, including all public holidays until April 21st, Kabloom has school holidays sorted with a unique offering of activities and experiences for all ages with children 16 and under free. Kabloom will present a reimagined entertainment line-up this year with the incredible Circus Oz in the famous flower fields. Daily shows will dazzle and delight audiences with flower fairies, sprites, and pixies emerging from the magical woods alongside sensational circus artists performing daredevil feats that celebrate the wonders of nature.
Across the autumn days Circus Side Shows will feature woodland sprites showcasing their talents in tightwire walking above the blooms, slack rope, hula hoops, hand balancing, juggling, aerial ring, music, rue cyr, acrobatics and human pyramids, promising amusement and amazement for big and little people alike. Circus Workshops will be led by Ruccis Circus where visitors can learn new skills, try out equipment, and amaze your friends and family with your newfound talents.
Magical Fairy Garden’s Teague, the enchanting storyteller, will return sharing tales of the Silvan Glade and its whimsical inhabitants. These daily storytelling sessions ignite little imaginations and foster a love for folklore. The surreal and enchanting world of Becky's fantastical bubble show, where a rainbow of soapy bubbles fills the air with magic and wonder, will also feature across the Festival.
School Holidays:
During the school holidays, drum up the fun with Kofi Kunkpe Drumming (2nd - 5th April) and Full Circle Drumming (8th - 12th April), offering rhythmic delights at 10:30 am and 1 pm.
Easter Long Weekend (29th March - 1st April):
Brings an exciting challenge - the Easter Rabbit Hunt. Hunt for rabbits instead of eggs and claim an awesome prize for your efforts. Tickets are $10 per person, with no pre-bookings required.
Hop aboard our tractor trains departing regularly from the Flower Station, offering breathtaking views of the farm and informative audio about our history and flower cultivation. Wheelchair-friendly rides are available, and individuals with limited mobility and their carers ride for free.
Indulge your taste buds with cuisine from around the world, catering to various dietary requirements and preferences. Plus, enjoy Melbourne's premiere face painting artists transforming you into superheroes, fairy princesses, tigers, and more for $15 per person.
Unleash your creativity with Creative Faire, offering daily kids' craft activities, family sessions, led by Sci and her team. Prices range from $8 to $15 per person.
