Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society - West Ryde - Sydney - Review

Kids love watching trains pass by but there’s nothing better than riding trains, miniature trains especially! Last month, Little Miss and her brother were super excited when I told them we would be visiting the Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society in West Ryde and riding little trains!

The Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society came about in 1948 and is run by a great bunch of volunteers. The society is located behind the West Ryde Shopping Centre in Sydney and is open on the THIRD Saturday afternoon of each month from 1.30 pm to around 4.30 pm.

It’s a great spot for children's birthday parties or small group afternoon gatherings and a great spot to watch live steam trains go by while having a snack or an ice cream from the kiosk.

The kids loved the experience and trying the different miniature railways and different trains, going over & under bridges and waving at other train riders. Such a priceless experience.
