Covering the walls of Carriageworks’ public space, Stockwoman is the most ambitious work to date of Arrernte and Kalkadoon artist Thea Anamara Perkins. With family ties to the Redfern community, Perkins’ practice questions how First Nations peoples can and should be portrayed in contemporary Australia.
