The 70th Sydney Film Festival announces two exciting family films: Disney and Pixar's Elemental (Australian Premiere) and the new Australian animation Scarygirl (World Premiere) in the SFF Family program 2023.

“Scarygirl, with its all-star Australian cast including Jillian Nguyen, Sam Neill, Deborah Mailman, Tim Minchin, and more, is a must-watch for adventure-seekers of all ages, and we are honoured to host its World Premiere.”
“Elemental, created by the talented production team behind iconic films such as Monster Inc., The Incredibles, Up, and Finding Nemo, offers an adventurously fun story of an unlikely friendship in Element City.”
The Australian Premiere of Elemental at Sydney Film Festival follows its World Premiere as the Closing Night selection at the Cannes Film Festival.
Kids and families will be the first in the world to experience the new, all Australian animated film Scarygirl, a highly anticipated adaptation of the popular graphic novel and video game.
Other films include 20,000 Species of Bees, The Echo and The Last Daughter.
Sydney Film Festival runs in cinemas 7-18 June 2023 and will host 200+ films!
