Lino Printing for Teens at the Australian Museum

  • Australian Museum (map)

Calling all creative teens aged 13-16! Join visual artist Leon Fernandes in this exciting workshop where you'll discover the art of lino printing.

Inspired by the incredible works of Uncle Badger Bates on display in the Barka exhibition, you'll learn how to create monoprints and layered prints using unique materials to etch your own designs into lino.

Under Leon's expert guidance, you'll develop your sequencing and planning skills as you layer your prints and create stunning artwork that showcases your creativity and imagination. You'll discover the magic of the printmaking process, from carving your designs to pulling ink and seeing your artwork come to life.

This workshop is the perfect opportunity for young artists to hone their skills and develop their passion for the arts in a fun and supportive environment.

Note: Please bring or wear an old shirt that you don't mind getting paint on.

If you attended our Lino Printing workshop in April and would like to attend the July workshop, please note the introduction will be the same, but you will still have the opportunity to create a brand new piece.

Ages: 13-16 years. Fee paying. Education Room 1 and 2 (Level UG).
