The French-speaking Association of the North Shore (FANS) is proud to announce the 18th edition of the FANS French Market, a premier French cultural event in Australia, to be held on Sunday, 17 November 2024, from 9am to 4pm at Killarney Heights Public School.
The FANS French Market, known for its vibrant celebration of Francophone culture, is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors. With over 70 stalls featuring professional merchants and fundraising efforts, the market will offer a wide range of gourmet food, handcrafted goods, and artisan products. The event promises to be a delightful experience for the entire family, with activities ranging from children’s games, rides, and live music performances.
This year, the market continues its tradition of providing a unique Francophone experience, transcending borders by also featuring specialties from Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, and beyond. Visitors can enjoy French culinary delights such as charcuterie, crêpes, croque-monsieur, and foie gras, all while being immersed in a festive atmosphere accompanied by classic French music.
Since its inception, the FANS French Market has been a crucial fundraising event for the FANS bilingual program at Killarney Heights Public School, which benefits over 85% of the students enrolled. This bilingual program has earned the prestigious Label FrancEducation for its academic excellence and commitment to promoting bilingualism.
