These workshops will introduce young artists to the vibrant world of watercolour painting while exploring the beauty of plants and animals. Through creative activities and guided instruction from local artist and illustrator Amber Oswald, students will have fun exploring basic watercolour techniques before creating their own unique artworks.
There are 2 workshops:
10am – 12.30pm: Ages 6 – 8 years
1.30pm – 4pm: Ages 9 – 12 years
Workshop Highlights:
Guided instruction of watercolour techniques, brushstrokes, colour mixing and water control
Learning to ‘see’ shapes, colours and patterns
Showcase of examples of watercolour artworks featuring plants and animals
Materials provided:
Watercolour paints and brushes
Watercolour paper
Inspiration and examples
Note to parents/guardians:
Suggest children wear suitable clothing for potential paint splatters
Please pack a small morning/afternoon tea and water
