The Gruffalo Spotters Trail at Scenic World at Scenic World - Blue Mountains

Mouse, Fox, Snake, and the Gruffalo are hiding in the rainforest at Scenic World - can you find them?

Follow the clues as you dive into the whimsical world of the Gruffalo story on a self-guided quest to find the Gruffalo and his friends along the 30-minute rainforest boardwalk.

Kids will be equipped with a Gruffalo Spotters Trail guidebook as they watch the characters come to life with an augmented virtual reality experience using an app (free to download on both android and IOS).  Meet and greets with the Gruffalo are on daily in the school holidays. The Gruffalo Spotters Trail is included with all Scenic World passes. Ends on 25 August.

The self-guided, augmented reality experience - The Gruffalo Spotters Trail – features the much-loved characters from the children’s book, the Gruffalo, in rainforest at Scenic World from 24 February until the end of August 2024.

Now the whole family can foxtrot with Fox, have a hoot with Owl, hissssss with Snake, make friends with Mouse and get to know the Gruffalo. Simply download the free Gruffalo Spotter Aus 2 App before setting off on an adventure on the world’s steepest train, the Scenic Railway, into the Jamison Valley.

Follow the clues to search the deep, dark woods along Scenic World’s elevated boardwalk and discover interactive signs that trigger the appearances of the characters. Using the app, you'll be able to take photos and videos of yourself interacting with the characters as the signs along the walk activate Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake and the Gruffalo.

Then, ride the Scenic Cableway out of the valley and back to the main building and catch the Scenic Skyway for a bird's eye view of the forest.

Wrap up your adventure with a selfie with the Gruffalo in real life with meet and greets (scheduled throughout the day on weekends and every day during the school holidays).

The experience is included FREE with any Scenic World ticket! The child ticket also includes a Gruffalo Activity book!

Kids under 3 are FREE.
