School holiday activities at the Australian Museum

Are you looking for fun things to do with the kids in Sydney during the school holidays? The Australian Museum (AM) offers a range of educational activities to keep your kids entertained.

The AM is open every day of the school holidays, with free general entry! Only a short walk from Museum and St James train stations, the AM is easy to get to, and there is paid parking nearby for a visit whether it's raining or a sunny day out.

Activities on offer:

  • Scientist for a Day: Climate Scientist - Monday 8 & Tuesday 9 July: 9.30am - 3.30pm - $150 Non-member Child, $120 Member Child - Ages: 9-12 years

  • Shellwork Art with Aunty Maxine - Wednesday 10 & Thursday 11 July: 10.30am - 11.30am | 1pm - 2pm - $45 Non-member Child, $36 Member Child - Ages: 5-16 years

  • Scientist for a Day: Entomologist - Tuesday 16 & Wednesday 17 July: 9.30am - 3.30pm - $150 Non-member Child, $120 Member Child - Ages: 9-12 years

  • Wansolmoana Live: Tavake - Saturday 6 July: 11am - 11.25am | 1pm - 1.25pm | 3pm- 3.25pm - FREE - All ages.
