Cambodian artist Yim Maline creates sculptures from found fabrics which explore her connection with nature. Maline is also co-founder of The Blue Art Center in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, where she teaches art to children.
‘Art Box for Kids: Yim Maline’ features a series of drawings made by the artist and her students, exploring their dreams for the future of Cambodia. Visitors to the exhibition can also make their own drawing reflecting on what they hope for the future.
This project was developed for Asia Pacific Triennial Kids as part of ‘Art Box for Kids’. This exciting exhibition series invites children to meet an artist through a video, see an example of the artist’s work on display, and explore their creativity through a fun hands-on activity.
‘Art Box for Kids’ prioritises sustainable exhibition design and the use of recycled or repurposed activity materials where possible.
