Sensory Friendly Event: Discovering Ancient Egypt

We’re turning the sound down and creating a relaxed, fun and supportive atmosphere that welcomes people on the autism spectrum or with other access requirements to experience the museum and Discovering Ancient Egypt.

Queensland Museum Sensory Friendly Sessions create a supportive environment where people of all ages can spend quiet time, wander at their own pace, and engage in conversations with museum staff. 

  • Entry is free to the museum’s permanent galleries, no booking required. 

  • Discovering Ancient Egypt is paid entry and numbers are strictly limited. Your paid ticket includes access to the museum’s permanent galleries. 

  • Companion cards and children under 5 years old are free, no booking required.

  • Times: 8:15am – 10am
    3:30pm – 4:45pm (17 May 2025)

  • Suitable for: This event is suitable for all ages

  • Location: Queensland Museum Kurilpa. Entry via level 2

  • Cost: Adult $20 per person (16 years and over). 
    Child $10 per person.

    Ticket price includes exhibition entry to Discovering Ancient Egypt.
