Back to Nature - Healesville Sanctuary

  • Healesville Sanctuary (map)

With exciting exhibits to explore and multiple routes to take, it might seem overwhelming knowing where to start. So we are here to help you plan your day at the Sanctuary and make special holiday memories with your kids.

Just in time for autumn school holidays, Healesville Sanctuary has lots of free nature activities around the Sanctuary for the kids to discover, play, learn and create!

Activities include:

  • Balance, scramble, climb and jump in our two amazing Bunjil and Corroboree Frog Nature Play Spaces.

  • Gunyah making and stick and stones art – using natural collected materials at Koala Picnic Area.

  • Sand tables to doodle your own nature inspired art in sand at Robert Eadie Pavilion.

Healesville Sanctuary will also have Nature play rangers and Professor Bubble wandering around the Sanctuary daily.

Don't forget, kids visit free on school holidays. More info here.
