Under 5s engages children aged 2 – 5 years with art through lively online talks and a making activity.
From giant lanterns to glass eel traps and a painting on a car door, learn about how First Nations artists having been creating artworks in many styles, using different materials for over sixty-five thousand years. Learn about the different ways artists make art, explore artwork by some of the First Nations artists in the exhibition Wurrdha Marra, on display now at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia and find out how connection to Country inspire their works.
Children will also learn about artworks that are made collaboratively by teams of artists and can then collaborate on a drawing activity taking turns to build on the work of others.
For Parents, Carers & Teachers
This program will encourage children to name the skills required to work collaboratively with others, to tell stories about teamwork and to practise listening and taking turns through participatory games.

This online event is presented by staff from the NGV Audience Engagement and Learn team and is suitable to join from home, kindergarten or playgroup. Groups are welcome to attend.
