The Teddy Bears’ Picnic that you all know and love is returning to Rippon Lea Estate!

The annual Rippon Lea Estate Teddy Bears Picnic has been a popular event for many years – 33 years to be exact – drawing in families and visitors of all ages to enjoy the timeless tale of the Teddy Bears’ Picnic set in the beautiful surroundings of Rippon Lea Estate.

In addition to the storybook backdrop that Rippon Lea Estate provides there’s also fairground attractions, face painting and an entire ballroom simply bursting with craft activities,

The mansion will be open to explore 11am – 2pm. Gates close at 5pm.

Elm & Willow’s Rippon Lea Adventures: The Teddy Bears Picnic Story Book

This year, the event will include a special addition to the activities, a story book has been created. Elm & Willow’s Rippon Lea Adventures: The Teddy Bears Picnic, which will be read by the author, the National Trust’s Matt Chester and illustrator by Joleen Jenkins. After the reading, children will be encouraged to explore the gardens that inspired the story with their own teddy bears and adventurer booklet to fill out.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase after the reading or bundled with your ticket at the time of booking. This is a great opportunity for families to purchase a special memento of their visit to the Teddy Bears Picnic at Rippon Lea Estate.
