NAIDOC Week - Family Day at Melbourne Zoo

City of Melbourne (CoM) annually acknowledges NAIDOC Week through its public programs, activities and events that facilitate opportunities for people to come together and learn, understand and value Australia’s Aboriginal heritage and cultures, and work together to address Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander disadvantage.

Melbourne Zoo is proud to host one of this years City of Melbourne NAIDOC Week events on Sunday 2nd July.

WELCOME TO COUNTRY & STORY TELLING WITH WURUNDJERI ELDER UNCLE BILL NICHOLSON

Location: Nature Play, in Australian Bush

Time: Hour sessions at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm & 2:00pm

INDIGENOUS FACE PAINTING & ACOUSTIC BUSKER

Location: M Pavillion, in Carousel Park

Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm

CLAPSTICK PAINTING

Location: Digest Ed, in Lion Gorge

Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm

REED NECKLACE MAKING

Location: Digest Ed, in Lion Gorge

Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
