Did you know that Puffing Billy’s NA locomotives were built right here in Melbourne?
Join us on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 of September for a fantastic LEGO® display at the Lakeside Visitor Centre from 9am to 4pm each day.
This incredible model, made of a whopping 90,000 LEGO® parts, showcases the iconic Newport Workshops where the NAs were originally constructed. Our friends from the Melbourne L-Gauge Train Club have masterfully crafted this masterpiece, and they're teaming up with Puffing Billy Railway’s own Modeller's Group for an amazing model train and LEGO® display that's absolutely FREE!
Dating back to the 1880s, the Newport Workshops hold a special place in Victoria's railway history and are now one of the best-preserved 19th-century railway workshops globally. You'll get to see the historic East and West Blocks, Clock Tower, and Water Tower in stunning LEGO® detail
Whether you're riding the train or just exploring the beautiful Emerald Lake Park precinct, make sure to swing by our Lakeside Visitor Centre and see what all the excitement is about these school holidays!
