Kaleidoscope School Holiday Program with Kingston Arts Centre

Back for its second year, Kaleidoscope is a school holiday arts program that seeks to encourage creativity through active learning, experimentation, artistic creation and fun.

Developed for young people between the ages of 10–17, Kaleidoscope offers a series of workshops to inspire every imagination. There are classes ranging from acting and improv, music, to craft and visual arts.

Highlights include Create a Comic Book, where participants can discover the secrets behind crafting dynamic characters, storylines, and visuals that leap off the page, and Rhythm Jam: A Drumming Workshop, with musician Rod Pilois, who will lead a hands-on workshop focused on the djembe and stick drum rhythm and groove.

Other workshops include Improv and Instant Acting with professional funny man Rob Lloyd, where he will teach the basics of improvisation, highlighting the power of imagination and collaboration.

Multi-award-winning music theatre star Queenie van de Zandt will present two half-day theatre workshops for youth and teens respectively, one focused on Annie, and the other on Dear Evan Hansen.
