The much awaited Victorian festival of Diwali returns to its home at the iconic Fed Square, and is free and open to all Victorians.
Celebrate India invites all Victorians to join the festivities and immerse themselves in the vibrant and magical culture of India.
There will be colourful dances, kirtan, a majestic display of the Lord Ram and Sita Ji's kingdom, a live band, yoga and dance workshops for all age groups, craft workshops for children, and a bustling bazaar. Delectable food from the various regions of India will be available at street food stalls.
Each year Celebrate India raises awareness toward serious issues affecting the community at large. Considering the tragic loss of lives in recent times at Australian beaches, Life Saving Victoria will be in attendance, imparting valuable safety information and the do's and don'ts when visiting beaches.
