The Turkish Pazar Festival brings all the delights of a traditional Turkish street bazaar to the Queen Victoria Market with a free, family-friendly celebration of food, music, dance and culture.
Savour an array of Turkish street foods with familiar favourites such as gözleme and döner kebab, as well as delicious vegan and vegetarian snacks and sweets. A Turkish coffee will give visitors strength to keep going all day long!
The friendly stall holders enjoy sharing information about their culture - just ask them. Displays of Turkish arts and handcrafts will include demonstrations of ebru (paper marbling) and other crafts. The Australian Ottoman Mehter Band performs on Sunday, and free activities over the weekend will keep the young entertained.
Come along and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkiye.
Held under cover in the sheds at the Queen Victoria Market.
