Glow Winter Arts Festival is returning to light up the night and celebrate its tenth anniversary.
From Thursday, July 18th to Sunday, July 21st, the historic Central Park in Malvern East will be transformed into a breathtaking wonderland. The festival offers a free program of mesmerising outdoor light and sound installations that ignite the imagination. Over four nights more than 30,000 visitors are expected to explore five installations created by renowned Australian artists showcased for the first time in Australia.
Artist installation highlights include:
A 14-meter inflatable light sculpture integrating video and music
Gigantic bubble clusters, some spanning 16 meters
42 luminous flowers rising from a watering bed, reaching heights up to 3 meters
A shimmering installation of over 1,000 light-transmitting flowers
An interactive music-making playground, ‘Hexadeca,’ featuring bespoke glowing seats
Visitors can also enjoy gourmet toasted sandwiches from Toasted Toasties or sweet treats from Rockin Donuts.
Adults can warm up with beverages from Big Shot Cafe & Bar, served from their charming 1969 Citroën HY van, offering whiskey hot chocolates, mulled wine and craft beer.
