The World Is Lava

Part game, part challenge, part adventure installation.

Lost homework, eating Brussels sprouts, wetting your pants, a volcanic eruption; these are all emergencies!!

Come join us in an obstacle course navigating natural disasters and everyday anxieties.

Each participant’s path will take them on a specific route of physical challenges and tricky tasks themed on an urgent idea.

Can Everyone Please Calm Down?

We invite you to be our special researchers and test out ‘stations’ designed to achieve maximum calm. Spend a few minutes in each zone which has been created to provide you with peace and serenity.

What will work the best? Spending time with plants? Sipping on peppermint tea? Pressing on pressure points? Try them all out and submit tokens in a voting box at each station to give your feedback.

If you love to test out, review, and have a say, this is your chance to offer your expert opinion. Come unwind with us.

  • There is a 15-minute break between The World is Lava and Can Everyone Please Calm Down?

  • This event is designed to be a collaboration between a child and their parent/carer.

The World is Lava and Can Everyone Please Calm Down? are back by popular demand! These two events are from the award-winning 2023 season Don’t Panic Everything is Urgent, created by the children of the By Kids for Kids Collective.
