DARKFIELD

  • Arts Centre, Melbourne (map)

DARKFIELD returns to Arts Centre Melbourne this summer, back by popular demand.

Following a record-breaking season at Adelaide Fringe, the latest addition to the acclaimed collection, INVISIBLE, will make its Melbourne debut on 24 October 2025, joined by the return of audience favourite FLIGHT.

INVISIBLE is an immersive audio experience inside a blacked-out, 40ft shipping container disguised as a theatre. It explores the irresistible temptations of invisibility and also the psychopathic delusions of a dangerous man, questioning our understanding of what it means to be present in the world. Is it enough for us to believe we exist or do we need a witness?

Created by UK-based Artistic Directors Glen Neath and David Rosenberg, DARKFIELD invites audiences to step inside shipping containers where strange worlds unfold. The immersive experiences take place in complete darkness, and challenge the senses using 360-degree binaural audio, to explore the depths of human psychology and perception.

Produced in Australia by Realscape Productions, DARKFIELD has to-date seen a global audience of 700,000 people take the plunge into darkness and experience heart-pounding thrill.
