Here’s their review: “‘Tarzan’, a stage musical experience where we dive into the depths of the jungle. The victim of tragedy, before young Tarzan adapted to the environment, and his new family, his new meaning. Fighting for acceptance within his family, until he is driven by interest by figures, who look almost exactly like him. A strong tale, exploring themes of tragedy, comedy, love and family. Shaped as a musical adaptation to give us a greater insight on the meaning, with some original songs from the movie, playing within the musical. A strong performance with a range of vocalists, expressive dance, and a flowing storyline. Now starring in The National Theatre.” Recommended for ages 6 years+ due to length - 2 hours 30 mins (incl. 20 min interval). Note: smoke, haze, and strobe lighting.

Tarzan struggles to find where he truly belongs, torn between the animal kingdom and the human world. With book by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang, at its core Tarzan is a story of identity, love, and the universal quest for connection.
Green Room Award-winning producer James Terry Collective presents TARZAN – The Stage Musical, a new Australian staging playing exclusively in Melbourne. Directed by Alister Smith (Elvis: A Musical Revolution), choreographed by Michael Ralph (The Wedding Singer), and Musical Direction by Claire Healy (SIX the Musical).
