#melbourne REVIEW - Harold Pinter’s Multi Award Winning drama The Homecoming at the Athenaeum Theatre now until 3rd October 2026.
Renata and Anastasia were invited at the opening night of The Homecoming last night and thoroughly enjoyed the show!
Here’s Anastasia’s review: “Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming follows Teddy as he returns to his childhood family home with his wife Ruth. Only for this typically innocent reunion to spark tension and awaken old rivalries within the family. Melbourne’s cast brings personality to this dysfunctional family with constant arguments, awkward interactions that evokes an odd emotion to the atmosphere. Ruth brings herself to light as she affirms her place within this family. The sharp dialogue, uncomfortable pauses, and the undeniable passion keeps the audience guessing within the setting of Athenaeum Theatre 2. Melbourne’s The Homecoming is an unpredictable and stunning production that leaves plenty to think about. Something I truly recommend to those that want to dive deeper into this disorienting world.”
