Tom Edmunds Reserve, Ascot Vale
Little Miss and i often drive pass the Tom Edmunds Reserve situated corner of Holdsworth street and Maribyrnong Road in Ascot Vale. This playground was recently refurbished to accommodate new equipment which is very welcoming as the old equipment was very dated and tricky for little ones to use.
The playground now sports two structures. The main structure has two areas, one for little ones the other for older kids both with a slide each and some climbing gear. Next to the structure, there is a grasshopper spring which was there previously as well as a new see-saw which is very easy for little Miss to use.
The main structure also has a climbing spider net, a chain bridge, more climbing gear and some mushroom-like steps to stand on.
The other structure has a simple slide and swing.
The reserve is fully fenced which is welcoming because of the main road. There is parking on either Maribyrnong Road or the quieter Holdsworth Street. There is no shade and limited seating which is a shame and no public toilets or BBQ area.
Tom Edmunds Reserve is located at 219 Maribyrnong Road in Ascot Vale to be exact or corner of Holdsworth Street and Maribyrnong Road.
