Head to Zoos Victoria's Zoos these Autumn school holidays for some free adventures!
New adventures await with lion cubs to meet, new play spaces to explore and animal stories to discover.
Experience Learning to Roar at Werribee Open Range Zoo and see three growing lion cubs at play. Meet the Keepers during the daily Lion Keeper talk, see a daily School Holiday performance of 'How The Lion Got Its Roar' and checkout the new prowl and pounce zone. There will be a family of lions to feed, bandage, x-ray and care for in the Ranger Kids area as well as lion dress ups.
Let them find their inner Wild Child at Melbourne Zoo's new Keeper Kids outdoor play space. Children can dress up as a researcher, collect their equipment and head outside to try their luck at finding endangered wildlife. Or they can listen out for animal sounds, search for tracks and observe wildlife once found.
Meet the Little Burrowers at Healesville Sanctuary. Discover the iconic burrowing species including wombats, echidnas and platypus and learn about their secret lives below the surface! Kids can be little diggers with a sandpit filled with excavation and tunnel building equipment in the nature play space and they might even see the Platypus twins!
Kids under 16 receive FREE entry every weekend, Victorian Government public and school holidays (25 March - 10 April 2016). More info go to http://www.zoo.org.au/autumn.
