Astrolight festival at Scienceworks
Head to the Astrolight festival at Scienceworks next Saturday 10th of September from 6pm to 10pm to celebrate astrology and light. There will be a number of organised activities, shows, a laser maze, hands-on optic activities, stargazing through telescopes and a science stage dedicated to family friendly talks and shows.

Activities - Interactive activities and Eye-opening optics activities and displays. Get hands-on and explore the science of light and astronomy with activities and checkout the crazy laser maze. All ages.
Art installations - Interact with the Stellarsphere and Student showcase. A giant living, breathing light bubble and an array of astronomy-inspired 2D, 3D and projection works.
Talks & Panel sessions - 20+ talks and panel sessions about light and astronomy. A funny and interactive performance from Sean Elliott, kitchen cosmology from Dr Chris Lassig, a talk about living in space by NASA Astronaut, Marsha Ivins and a crazy number of astronomy and universe talks.
Stargazing - Stargaze with a field full of telescopes and models like the Murchison Wide Field Array.
Mini Expo - A mini expo on the latest research and initiatives of Victoria's astro and optics societies will be on display.
Shows & Workshops - The Capturing the Cosmos show (kids 8 yrs +) as well as the Lightning Room Revealed (kids 6 yrs +) and LED wearables workshops (kids 10 yrs+) will be on at a low cost.
Food, Bar & Shop - There will be food trucks, onsite cafe and Luna Bar food options.
Parking - There will be FREE parking during the festival.
