The Messy Shed Balwyn - Melbourne - Review

Kate and her messy play lovers headed to The Messy Shed Balwyn last week to checkout what the mess was about ha! They spent a great hour enjoying free play at different stations all themed with Spring season messy activities. It looks like they had a great time! Thanks for the review and pics Kate. xo Catherine

After the huge success of their first centre in Mornington, The Messy Shed opened in Melbourne’s east in August and has already gained an instant following with local parents and little mess makers.

Their 45-minute sensory play sessions challenge children to think, interact, explore and most of all, have fun! Each week they run with a different theme, so whether it’s getting muddy with farm animals, digging with dinosaurs, making potions or creeping around with crawlies - there’s is something for everyone. With no rules except each activity stays within its allocated areas these sessions are completely child-led, which is just the way we like it!

Our visit coincided with Spring activities which saw the poppets paint with fresh flowers, shear lambs, colour matching bugs, make things out of recycled materials and lots of water play! Lucky we bought a change of clothes!

With three sessions each weekday, there is bound to be a time that you can enjoy with your little ones on a weekly or casual basis.  Plus keep an eye on their Instagram and Facebook accounts for School Holiday sessions too.

Looking for a simple but super fun party option? The Messy Shed offer private hire both during the week and on weekends for children’s parties.  They provide the space and activities (and clean up) - you BYO everything else. How good is that?!?
