Pixar Putt - Federation Square - Melbourne - Review

Update: Get ready to kick some serious putt at Melbourne Museum Western Forecourt when Pixar Putt returns for a 6-week season from Friday 20 December 2019 to 3 February 2020. Our past review below.

Kate took her little ones and their cousin to Pixar Putt this week to test out the NEW Pixar Putt experience. We are big fans of Pixar movies and I must say the course looks fantastic! Checkout Kate’s review below and head to her Instagram page to follow their adventures.

Australia’s newest pop-up mini golf experience, Pixar Putt, has landed in Melbourne.  Inspired by the beloved stories, characters and icons from some of Disney-Pixar’s most iconic films including Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Inside Out and Coco, Pixar Putt is guaranteed to take guests to infinity… and beyond!

Located on the River Terrace at Federation Square, guests can choose to play the full 18 holes or go for the express nine-hole option. Allow approximately 30-40 minutes for nine holes with a group of four & 1 hour - 1.5 hours for 18 holes.

Pixar Putt is for everyone. The course is quirky, fun and a challenge for adults as well as kids.

It’s evident that the design team have really worked close with Pixar animation to really bring the heart and soul of each of these films into a mini-golf-hole.  From dodging seagulls down a wooden pier from Finding Nemo and using strings of Miguel’s guitar from Coco to hitting up a ramp towards the bulls-eye of an archery target from Brave there is sure to be many favourite holes.

We all loved the 18th hole the best - inspired by the movie UP.  Players have to putt into a house, then operate a winch that flies the house to the top of Paradise Falls before releasing the balls onto the green below.  SUPER cute!

There is plenty of photo opportunities throughout the course + Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody from Toy Story at the entrance.

Golf clubs, golf balls, score cards and pencils are all provided. It is an outdoor event, so make sure you bring sunscreen, hat and comfortable shoes!  Play will go ahead during hot weather and rain, so don't forget to take your wet weather gear.  FYI tickets to any sessions where you deem it too hot or too wet for your team to play will be valid for the next seven days. Flexi tickets are also available.

Kate recommends booking a 10am or early tee off before the course gets too busy + most of the course is in the shade in the morning too.

Pram parking is available on site and the closest toilets and baby change facilities are located in The Square, next to Time Out and in The Atrium, near the Deakin Edge.
