Ocean Invaders - Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium - Melbourne - Review
Kate and her little ones checked out the brand NEW Ocean Invaders experience at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium yesterday and enjoyed the mysteriously fascinating world of jellyfish.
Prefect for the summer school holidays, the $1.5 million sensory experience invites kids and their parents/carers to see the beauty of jellyfish over three zones filled with interactive displays and setups.
Spread over more than 300 square metres, visitors can expect great displays of jellyfish, interactive activities, incredible lighting installations and educational facts about the gelatinous sea creatures.
The Jelly Lab will inform visitors of strange facts about jellyfish, their lifecycle and let children see what the SEA LIFE Melbourne staff do behind the scenes with these pretty and sometimes dangerous sea creatures.
Kate’s little ones loved crawling under moving jellyfish.
They really enjoyed the specially built cylindrical tank filled with moving jellyfish. They could have sat there for hours staring at the invasion of jellyfish.
Kids visiting Ocean Invaders will also appreciate learning about the increasing population/invasion of certain species/types of jellyfish in our oceans and find out how they can help to limit this problem.
Kids will love creating and controlling their own jellyfish invasion and walking over the jellyfish light effects.
But most of all, they will love looking at the real jellyfish contained in numerous spots along the exhibition.
To complement the Ocean Invaders exhibition, SEA LIFE Melbourne’s Art Aquarium invites children to design their own colourful jellyfish which will come alive on a giant wall projection.
Head to SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium these holidays to enjoy the fantastic NEW Ocean Invaders exhibition!
