Pittwater Sports Centre - Kindygym Kindy Recreation - Sydney - Review

Little Mister and I are on a quest to testing out some of Sydney’s kindy gym classes, so we headed this week to review the Pittwater Sports Centre’s Kindygym Kindy Recreation class and what a lot of fun we had!

Kindygym Australia at the Pittwater Sports Centre is Sydney’s longest running children's kindy gym classes with experienced teachers. They specialise in the gross motor development of boys and girls aged 12 months to 5 years and are also a great venue for your child's next birthday party.

We first headed to the Sand Bucket Play Centre & Café to burn off some energy before class (our review here) and after a stamp, little Mister lined up with his gym buddies and followed the instructors to take part in the class. Parents are not allowed on the gymnastics area unless their little one feels distressed.

After some warm up and being told that the theme of the week was all about space, the kids were split up in three groups each with an instructor in different areas.

Little Mister first headed to the bars and trampolines area where he walked around cones, through hurdles, did some bar and then jumped in the foam pit then crawled across a mattress and jumped on trampolines.

He then took part in more exercises in the second area where he walked across a beam assisted and jumped onto a large mat and did some rolling and practiced techniques around jumping on the trampoline as he tends to run instead ha!

And at the last area - his favourite, he was equipped with a little trampoline, a walking path where he had to pickup a toy and place it in a bucket on the large mat to then go through a tunnel and over foam rolls and a bar. Sorry I probably should learn the names of gymnastic equipment ha!

The class finished up with some singing and walking around like aliens in space and playing with the parachute by throwing stars up in the air.

Little Mister had an amazing time, he was really focused the whole time during class and I was impressed he followed the teacher and classmates from start to finish. He was very sweaty, hungry and thirsty afterwards which was a good sign! He then later passed out in the car haha! A great way to tire your little ones!
