The exhibition explores the 'most feared and revered' of all dinosaurs in new and different ways. The skeletons are brought to life through computer generated image (CGI) animations presented in digital label screens throughout the exhibition.

There’s lots for kids to see, learn about and do at this exhibition. Kids can see 5 complete tyrannosaur cast skeletons, 3 models of feathered dinosaurs, 7 tyrannosaur cast skulls, Real specimens, Augmented reality experience, Immersive video projection tunnel and interactive and multimedia experiences.

The kids enjoyed hatching Tyrannosaurs dinosaur eggs and sorting them on the family tree on the multi-touch multi-player family tree gaming table. They can learn while they play.

Kids can see Scotty, one of the largest and most complete T. rex specimens in the world and get their hands on fossil casts to add a tactile educational experience.

Scotty’s shadow comes to life to surprise, intrigue or scare visitors.

There’s also an interactive timeline which reveals how natural selection, continental drift and climate change facilitated the evolution of tyrannosaurs.

Lots to learn about all the members of the family and no doubt some new ones you haven’t encountered. We just loved looking at the skeletons.

Visitors can meet a real fossil of Dilong, a creature that would have scurried at the feet of other giant predators. Its spectacularly-preserved skeletons were found covered in coats of feathers, and are primary evidence that modern birds evolved from dinosaurs.

Kids can put their own Tyrannosaurs together by putting all skeleton pieces together, see how the dinosaurs from the video projection tunnel were made, see archeologists dig fossils on a different video, play an extinction game and stomp like a dinosaur on their way out!
