ARC - Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Centre at Taronga Zoo - Review
We recently visited Taronga Zoo’s brand NEW Amphibian & Reptile Conservation Centre (ARC) and loved the new layout! Lots of room to walk around, very accessible for prams and wheelchairs through ramps and clear pathways.

Our reptile and amphibian friends are thriving in their new habitats! You can see more than 50 creatures at the ARC, we tried to spot them all but some were too good at hiding and some still on their way to their new home.

The one-way path takes you through six immersive zones across two accessible levels. From frosty sub-alpine of Kosciusko National Park to scorching hot arid desert across Australia to wet temperate and tropical rainforests and then right back to your own backyard here in Sydney!

Miss loved the Alligator Snappy Turtle while Mister loved the Gila Monster and Shingleback Skink! We looked for the cute Corroboree frogs but they were too good at hiding!

Some creatures were hiding very well on our visit while others are still on their way waiting for their new habitat to be 100% ready and the perfect condition for them so we can’t wait to come back and see them!

Plus, we learned about how these creatures survive in tough climates and how we can be Climate Heroes with fun clues and games on the rooftop!
