Printmaking for Kids (5-8 years) at the Australian Museum

  • Australian Museum (map)

In this hands-on workshop led by artist Leon Fernandes, children aged 5 to 8 will learn the art of printmaking.

Inspired by Uncle Badger Bates' work displayed in the Barka exhibition, your little artists will experiment and explore while learning how to create monoprints or layered prints and use unique materials to carve drawings into foam.

Children will build on their artwork with layering techniques and discover the magic of their creation, from carving, to pulling ink to seeing their artwork unfold.

Note: Please bring or wear an old shirt that you don't mind getting paint on.

Ages: 5-8 years. Education Room 1 and 2 (Level UG).
