FANTASTIC FOSSILS AND MARVELLOUS MODELS - 1 day workshop

Be inspired by models, dioramas and fossils in the museum’s collection and learn about how museum’s create replica objects for exhibitions. Experiment with specialist sculpting and mould making materials like silicon and plaster to make your own marvellous models and spectacular sculptures using your favourite objects or specimens.

Create your own moulds and casts to fill with a variety of materials like soap, wax, plaster or even chocolate!

  •  Thursday 6 or Thursday 13 July (1 day workshop)

COCKATOO ISLAND ADVENTURES PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - 1 day workshop

 Ferry out to the spectacular shipyards of Cockatoo Island for an adventurous photography workshop. Build skills in using digital SLR cameras and learn photo editing techniques. Have your photos printed and exhibited in a special exhibition at the museum.

This course is held in partnership with Spitting Image Photography and the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.
Suitable to all levels of experience.
