Sydney Science Festival is an exciting and accessible program of science events presented by Powerhouse in August. It aims to inspire curiosity about what science is capable of – and criticism too – in a series of interactive performances, talks and exhibits across the city.
This year’s festival theme – Trace – explores the many marks we leave on our environment and how scientists strive to understand the sources and effects of different phenomena.
The theme is responsive to key Powerhouse exhibitions: Atmospheric Memory; A Line, A Web, A World; and 100 Climate Conversations, which highlight advances in our understanding of human activity and climate change.
