Join the Art Gallery of NSW for a sensory-friendly Art After Hours on Wednesday 16 August 2023 in the South Building at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
This is an opportunity for visitors who may benefit from a calmer, quieter environment to experience the Art Gallery with reduced sensory stimuli. There will be fewer people, no public announcements and gentler light, which includes workshops and a tour celebrating the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2023 exhibition.
The evening may suit people on the autism spectrum and those living with disability, dementia, a mental health condition or chronic illness. All ages are welcome.
Please share any access requirements for any of the events with us via access@ag.nsw.gov.au
The Art Gallery supports growing awareness of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program. Staff who have been trained to support visitors with hidden disabilities will wear a sunflower badge. Visitors are also encouraged to wear a sunflower lanyard, if they wish – available on arrival.
