The Sydney Science Trail is back this National Science Week! Join us for a family-friendly science festival at the Australian Museum. Explore the famous Sydney Science Trail Expo full of interactive stalls to get hands-on with science and technology - it’s a kids’ STEM bonanza!

Sydney Science Trail

  • In the morning: See surprising science demonstrations, watch a T.rex autopsy show and expand your understanding of First Nations tools and technologies with Ghost Net Weaving and First Nations Gallery Tours.

  • In the afternoon: Keep your eyes peeled for Winny the Muttaburrasaurus, our roving puppet dinosaur, hear Dr Karl answer burning science questions and expand your understanding of First Nations tools and technologies with Ghost Net Weaving and First Nations Gallery Tours.

The Sydney Science Trail program includes ticketed and free activities.

Sydney Science Trail Expo:

When: Saturday 19 August between 10am – 5pm. Limited capacity with entry through queueing system. Location: Hintze Hall. Cost: Free as part of general admission.

The famous Sydney Science Trail Expo is a kids’ STEM bonanza, with interactive stalls to get hands-on with science and technology. Learn about citizen science, frogs, fossils, get hands-on with cutting-edge innovations and more, plus chat with real scientists from renowned research institutes, including the Australian Museum Research Institute, the University of Technology Sydney and the University of New England.
