Discover the beauty and artistry of Chinese calligraphy with a short tour and fun hands-on practice activity!

The Chinese Garden's tour will touch on the history of Chinese calligraphy, from its ancient origins to its modern-day use in art and literature. You'll learn about the different styles of calligraphy, the tools and techniques used by master calligraphers, and the cultural significance of this traditional art form. After the tour, you'll get to put your newfound knowledge into practice.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced calligrapher, this activity is a unique and memorable way to immerse yourself in Chinese culture and art. Join the Garden for a fun and educational experience that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and craftsmanship of Chinese calligraphy.

Dates:

  • Monday 25 September to Friday 29 September

  • Tuesday 3 October to Friday 6 October (except on public holiday Monday 2 October)

Sessions:

  • Session 1 at 11am (up to 12 children)

  • Session 2 at 12pm (up to 12 children)

  • Session 3 at 1pm (up to 12 children)

Cost: Free* with Garden entry ($12 Adult + $8 Child)

Booking is essential and can be made at the front desk on arrival. Suitable for ages 5-12years old.
