A Little Bit of Blue at Pavilion Performing Arts Centre

  • Pavilion Performing Arts Centre (map)

Presented by: Play! Kids Festival at The Pavilion

Can you help solve the case?

Join Little Wing Puppets for an interactive, environmental detective story told through the art of puppetry!

Something has gone missing and is nowhere to be found. Mrs Mavis Hooley has been looking everywhere. Every day a new thing seems to disappear. Mavis calls in a Detective to investigate. In the dead of night, and the Detective indeed finds something peculiar….and the children’s role is to help him solve the case!

As well as unravelling a mystery, kids will learn about the unique habits of an extraordinary Australian animal, the Satin Bowerbird, and their fascination for the colour blue. It is a fun frolicking mix of Detective Noir, slapstick, combined with learning about this intriguing creature and featuring Banraku puppetry, based on the traditional Japanese puppet form.

Enjoy the show? Stick around post-performance to participate in Puppetry Workshops. Visit the Puppetry Workshop page for all the details and to reserve your spot.
