Sydney - After a spot of lunch yesterday, we headed to Wharf 4/5 home to the newly renovated studio theatre at @bangarradancetheatre to watch Waru – journey of the small turtle 🐢 We follow the journey of a green turtle hatchling called Migi as she takes on the different winds and ocean currents and dangers on land & sea. The storyteller is really engaging and asked us to interact with the performance to help Migi and her hatchling brothers & sisters. A great introduction to Torres Strait Islander culture and dance. It is advised for kids 3 to 7 yo however Miss and I really enjoyed it and we saw teens and adults without kids enjoying it too. Looking forward to many more performances from @bangarradancetheatre in the future 🙌 The kids enjoyed the arts & crafts by the team at the @sea.museum before and after the show and the fun facts placed in the foyer. There is also a Waru Learning Pack available on their website to learn about the story, places & culture of the story, fun facts, the danger of ghost nets and some colouring pages. Waru is on until the 14th October 2023 🐢 Thank you for inviting us @bangarradancetheatre #hosted #invited #bangarradancetheatre #warujourneyofthesmallturtle
