Join us for a captivating art-making workshop inspired by the incredible spider sculptures of Louise Bourgeois.
Bourgeois’s enormous mother-spider Maman is currently installed at the front of the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ South Building, and more of her spiders are on display in the Louise Bourgeois exhibition in the North Building.
In this hands-on session, developed with artist Amy Claire Mills, you’ll be guided in creating your own spider artworks using wire and other materials.
Take part anytime between 5pm and 7pm. All materials and instructions provided. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and no experience is necessary. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
This is part of a series of accessible events on 6 March during a sensory-friendly Art After Hours, including a Wellbeing through art panel discussion.
