Jump, slither, and crawl into Taronga Zoo Sydney these school holidays!

As the air temps cool down, Taronga Zoo Sydney promises to warm up endo- and ecto-therms alike with wild adventures in store. Spot the eight animal babies not to be missed, take in Crawly Critters ALIVE show and explore ARC, the brand-new Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Centre opening just in time for the winter school holidays.

  • ARC -Taronga’s brand-new Amphibian and Reptile Experience - will see guests slither through six immersive zones, before exploring an open-air rooftop full of sun-loving creatures, coming face to face with and encounter creatures as old as the dinosaurs. ARC is home to more than 42 unique species of reptiles and amphibians, some of which are new to Taronga Zoo or haven't been seen in years. ARC is a free, indoor experience included in your zoo ticket or membership, as is the Kids Map centered around ARC’s five Climate Heroes.

  • Jumping on board Taronga’s baby boom is two Australian native species not to be missed. Taronga Zoo Sydney has something in the water, with the recent emergence of a Southern Hairy-nosed wombat and a Potoroo joey from and comfort of their mothers’ pouches. These two new additions join a full nursery of exotic species: five-month-old Lololi the Pygmy Hippo calf and Eve the Long-nosed Fur seal pup, six-month-old twin Red Panda cubs, Khyana and Keisho, and 10- and 12-month-old chimp babies, Cekiri and Lemba. These adorable zoo babies are sure to warm the soul.
