OUR REVIEW HERE.

Last but not least - the Young Archie Awards. This year, the Young Archie are first up as you walk in the exhibition which is great as it celebrates both young artists and how it all begins. And for some, a portrait of their parent, sets the tone for their future art career. The kids thoroughly enjoyed each portrait by age range and it was lovely to see some artists from our local area there too. We didn’t take any close-ups as it was a little busy. Full info on the @artgalleryofnsw’s website. Portraits by Jasnoor Kaur, Lauren Blunden and sinead were my favourites in the Archies. Miss loved portraits of Leah Blatchford’s mother and Adele Beydoun’s piano teacher and Mia Saputo’s younger sister Gabby. Mister loved Leon Deo’s painting of his older brother Xavier, the hair especially ha! Mister was a massive fan of the penguins featured in Stephen Haozhe Yang’s submission, Sonia Li’s brother with grumpy cat and Jemma Han’s dad and pet. We all loved the family elements linked to the Young Archie Award.
