NAIDOC Week storytime: The Dreamtime story of Buriburi

Join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week with a FREE Dreamtime Story event hosted by the Gujaga Foundation!

During this special school holidays presentation, Gujaga Foundation will share the local Dreamtime Story of Buriburi, the humpback whale. Suitable for children aged 4 to 12 years, the Dreamtime Story of Buriburi’ is presented as an opportunity for kids to consider the origins of Sydney Harbour from the perspective of coastal Sydney’s Traditional Owners.

Afterwards, children can unleash their creativity by drawing one of the story's characters, creating a vibrant Buriburi poster or composing a poem or song inspired by the tale. These engaging activities will not only entertain your kids but also educate them about the rich significance of Dreamtime stories in First Nations culture.

While this event is free, registration is essential. Book now so you don't miss out on experiencing this enriching school holiday activity!
