Your next free opportunity to explore White Bay Power Station is here! Get ready for 3 supercharged days of local art, food, music and more.
Following the success of the 24th Biennale of Sydney, Power Up Festival offers Sydneysiders a second chance to explore the incredible historic building and enjoy over 100 artists, 200 musicians and performers, including renowned Inner West singer/songwriter Josh Pyke, and indulge in delicious eats and drinks from local faves Mary’s, Mapo Gelato, White Bay Brewery and more.
While there’ll be plenty to see and do across the three days, Sunday 22 September (10:30am to 6:00pm) is the perfect family-friendly day out for kids, big and small! The Sydney Youth Orchestra will present Meet The Orchestra babies proms sessions and the Inner West Community Band will be filling up the Boiler Room with the vibrant sounds of 40 local musicians.
There’ll also be free workshops great for the little ones to get hands on, such as etching and sensory building workshops.
Journey through the massive Turbine Hall to see work from 100+ local artists, then make your way through the Pump House and Boiler House to see the Power Up Stage ignite with live music and captivating performances. We're talking cabaret, magic shows, DJs, bands, orchestras and even a headline set from ARIA award-winning singer songwriter Josh Pyke. Fun fact: he lived just up the road!
We've also curated an epic lineup of some of the Inner West and Sydney's best food vendors, craft brewers and distillers. Pick up a refreshing beverage from the Boiler House, or fuel up on delicious local street eats outside.
There will also be one-of-a-kind gifts and treasures from talented artisans and local community stalls.
Free Behind the Scenes Heritage Tours and special Community Engagement Tours will be available to book soon. Register your interest now to be amongst the first to book.
Wander each space, discover new stories and make memories of your own. The power is in your hands.
