Hope Garden Workshops (Free)

  • Hyde Park Barracks (map)

Experience the transformative power of art and community with Hope garden.

Join us for a series of drop-in facilitated workshops that will see participants create intricate, nature-inspired blooms from upcycled textiles and other materials that will be added to an evolving, immersive garden installation.

Fostering mindfulness through wrapping, knotting and binding fabric, these workshops are a unique opportunity to slow down, nurture creativity, share stories and learn more about the history of the Hyde Park Barracks.

The workshops on Saturday 12 April, Sunday 13 April and Monday 14 April will be run by artist, Hiromi Tango.

Please bring some washed and clean pieces of fabric or old clothing remnants that have a memory or personal story for you and that can be shared and used for creative upcycling. We will also have materials available for you to use.

No experience is required, and our friendly facilitators will guide you through the flower-making process.

Suitable for all ages; adult supervision is required for participating children.
