We’re teaming up with our friends at Parliament House of NSW and Hyde Park Barracks to give you a full day of activities that’s guaranteed to be three times the fun!
Here at the Library you can build a cardboard box city at our drop-in centre, take a tour of the Library to learn more about this amazing building and finish the day in our underground auditorium for a fabulous show Best of the Worst with Matt Cosgrove and Eva Amores! Then head over to our Macquarie Street neighbours to continue the adventure and find more free holiday fun!

Look Inside the Library - Tuesday 15th April - Follow your guide to discover hidden places and surprising stories in our beautiful Library building. These family-focused tours depart from the Mitchell Library vestibule at 10.30 am, 11.30 am & 12.30 pm. Bookings are essential. All ages. Free.
Best of the worst - Tuesday 15th April 2 pm to 3 pm - The dynamic duo, Eva Amores and Matt Cosgrove are bringing their side-splitting, heart-stopping, bottom-clenching book series, Worst Week Ever, to life. There will be drawing, writing tips and definitely lots of laughs. Bookings are essential. All ages. Free.
Build a city drop-in - Every day Wednesday 16th to 24th April 10am to 3pm - Calling future builders and town planners! Come along to build your city skyscraper in our cardboard box mega-city. No bookings required, just drop into the John B Fairfax Learning Centre between 10 am and 3 pm. All ages. Free
