Palette Session - Freestyle Dance Workshops

  • Sydney Opera House (map)

What happens when hip-hop, folk, krump, and ballroom collide?

Discover the Colour of Your Movement - A freestyle dance workshop blending street, folk and experimental forms. Open to all levels, it’s a space to connect, move freely and find your unique style.

Palette Session is a three-hour freestyle dance workshop inviting movers of all styles and experience levels to explore the full colour of their movement. Guided through structured improvisation, peer feedback and movement direction, participants are supported to experiment, connect and grow creatively.

Rooted in street dance culture, Palette Session brings together dancers from hip hop, ballroom, krump, folk, contact improvisation and First Nations dance practices in a collaborative, inclusive space.

Founded in South Korea by choreographer CHAEDO and now led in Australia by movement artist Dylan Goh, Palette Session is a cross-cultural dance collective based in Seoul and Sydney.

Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a curious beginner, you're invited to move with freedom, curiosity and community.
